Dr. Andy Khawaja founded Allied Wallet in 2005, and has since led the Southern California-based merchant processing firm to international success. Allied Wallet serves clients in almost every nation, and in almost every currency, in the world. Established more than 20 years ago, the bipartisan USCIRF is a product of the International Religious Freedom Act, or IRFA. The USCIRF monitors the progress of freedom of religion around the world, and brings abridgements to the attention of federal government authorities, making recommendations that can then serve the U.S. Secretary of State and other officials in making policy.
The USCIRF bases its reports and recommendations on international standards for religious freedom as a fundamental human right, as defined in key documents that include The Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Article 18 of that document states that every human holds an inherent right to freedom of conscience, which encompasses the right to adhere to and practice one’s chosen religion, both privately and publicly.
